After a fun weekend there is nothing like a good nap!
Welcome to our newest family member Luke!
There is no place better for dinner than on the river.
We had a great weekend with Johna and Alana in town. We had dinner down the river and Willow Bay, lots of time in pool, and a kyak trip.
After church on SUnday we all took a walk in Manito Park, with a little rest for our feet in the fountain at Duncan Gardens
Grandma and Grampa at the beach
Gabby at the beach
Jake at the beach!
Newport Beach jusy has too much potential for great photos.
Finally some decent family photos!
Dan and Sarah were able to join us up at the lake for some fun boating and a great pancake breakfast (thanks Dan)!
Rich, James and Andrew came to visit for the weekend. We had a great time with them. While the weather was not fantastic we did manage to find time for a boat ride.
As Jake is learning to speak he is adding to the fun. As any parent I anxiously awaited his first word combination, that moment when they put two words together for the first time. And wasn't my wait worthwhile.... As I finished putting on a fresh diaper Jakes waves (not at me) and says: "Bye Bye PeePee" Nice, so worth the wait.
Gabby wakes up to find me changing Jake's sheets as his diaper had exploded during the night. As she sizes up the situation she looks at me and says, "Good times Mom, good times."
This was from dinner at Sandpoint. My Dad was joking about a recent punishment for Gabby:
Papa: "Gabby you are positively persecuted." Gabby: brief pause followed by a deep sigh "Always have been."
On day 3 in the car of our four day trip to Utah Matt was a little frustrated. Perhaps we were driving a little too fast but one car really wanted to let us know that they did not like our driving. So as we blew by they laid on the horn and Gabby said, looking out the window, "I didn't know we were by a train!"
At church, as we are getting ready for the sacrament prayer (think silence) I wisper to Gabby to please fold her arms. In an exasperated voice she says, "Mom, you're driving me crazy." (Did I mention it was also a loud voice?)
When I spilled milk all over the counter: (hands on hips) "What a fiasco!"
When the water heater broke: (hands on hips) "Mom, this is a DISASTER!"
I am a wife, a mom, a friend, a daughter, an in-law, and someone who needs to laugh on a regular basis. I believe that for most things in life you either laugh or cry so I am going to try and keep track of what makes me laugh.
